Ava visits Austin

These are just some fantastic photos Aunt Hayden took in Austin and Ava thought we should share them with everyone.

Hoppin down the bunny trail

Ava celebrated her first Easter this past Sunday and was loving the great weather! She played outside and soaked up some sun in her cute little Easter dress while Mimi and Becky tried to take some Easter pictures. Chris worked hard smoking a brisket Mimi had been cooking over all day and it was delicious! So after the family made some memories they enjoyed a nice dinner with chocolate eggs for desert.

Pretty in Pink

The family once lived in a tiny Dallas apartment so when they moved to Brownwood and into their new home all the space was marvelous! Everyone is so very happy with their own rooms and plenty of space to play. Ava has her very own room with hot pink walls and all her own closet space with all her own toys. Everyone has worked very hard painting, unpacking, digging holes in the yard for a sprinkler system, and putting up new cabinets in the laundry room. There have been more projects then time off since the family moved, but the reward with every finished piece is so great it keeps them trucking.

Becky worked on an art project for Ava's room she is pretty proud of. Not sure what to call it, it was dubbed "The Boxes" by Chris. Sprout seems to think they are cool and that's all that really matters so the project was a success with only one minor injury. Becky sliced her finger with an exacto knife but never fear Mimi was around the corner with some band-aids. So with the art project complete and the chair rail up Ava's room is the only one mostly complete in the entire house! One down, five more to go. As you can see Ava is all play no work so I guess its up to Chris and Becky to get it finished.

Ava moves South

After a long crowded drive down I-20 Ava arrived smack in the middle of Texas. Becky and Chris loaded everything up, with some help from friends and family, and then drove out of Dallas leaving their tiny apartment behind. The future looked bright for the young new family and they were excited about the stones left unturned. They enjoyed some time off spending every moment with each other and savoring the country life. After a few weeks in the country with Mimi the cedar post house of their dreams was finally ready! Ava has her own room and her very own closet for all her tiny clothes on tiny hangers. Chris has a giant garage with all his tools and Becky has her beautiful kitchen with granite counter-tops. Life is good.

Moving on up

Ava Claire and family are picking up their gear and moving to Brownwood, TX! The house hunting process is almost to a close and they are revving their engines. Chris is ready to spin his wheels and high tail it out of the city! Becky will miss her close friends and family, but is excited for a change and can't wait to spend her days at home with Baby A. Ava is also excited about being closer to her friend Owen and her Mimi. It's going to be weird not having someone base out Notorious B.I.G in the parking lot at 2 am, but the family is thinking they will manage to get sleep without it. The peace and quiet of Brownwood seems to be calling for them louder everyday. Well it's finally time, the big move is going to be Valentine's weekend! Anyone feel like some heavy lifting feel free to stop by, no not Sprout the couch or washing machine.

Tooth, check, driving lesson, check

Becky and Chris have been trying their best to keep Ava happy and smiling. Getting new teeth is rough business and natural remedies are far from conducive for Sprout. From chomping on ice, chew toys and fingers she is just hard to satisfy. The drops and tablets are useful sometimes, but it seems only one thing worked for Ava this time. Chris gave her, her first driving lesson in the Cobra. Now with this lesson came the talk about safety and insurance believe me the baby was convinced her Daddy was crazy. But she did love that leather and rumble of the engine.

The stockings were hung

Twas the night before Christmas when Chris, Becky and Baby A drove all the way to Panhandle. They hurried as fast as they could to beat Santa and luckily he was running late because they arrived just in time to put on their Christmas jammers and snuggle into bed. As sugar plums danced in their heads Santa dropped off all the presents. Now Sprout being so excited about Christmas couldn't let Becky and Chris sleep in. Oh no, 6 am was time for her to wake and get into her gifts! As Grandma helped her rip open her presents one by one she was inordinately amused with all the wrapping and ribbon! It must have been wonderful or she must have been hungry because Sprout tasted it all! As the family gathered around the table for Christmas dinner they all said a prayer and blessed the day they had been given.

The days flew by with plenty of La Fiesta and Villa! Ava enjoyed her time with Murr and Dandy so much she just couldn't help but giggle. She was all smiles and laughs with all her new toys and her gift wrap. Becky and Chris just grinned as they listened to her snicker and Grandma exclaimed, "What a beautiful noise!"

Now it was off to Brownwood for more Christmas cheer! Sprout was excited for her Mimi and more presents to eat! Ava now has enough toys for 2 years and more clothes then Chris! For her 1st Christmas Baby A also received an unexpected gift. Her first tooth! So for plenty of good luck Becky served Sprout up some black eyed peas. She was weary at first taste but then was eager for more!

With Ava eating real food and having plenty of new toys she was ready to move forward! She decided to go house hunting for a new home in Brownwood. Of course Becky and Chris followed behind but there has been no one to catch the eye. Sprout promises to keep looking because soon she will be ready to crawl out of Dallas!
